Thanks for playing it and the kind words! Yeah, the original idea for the mushrooms was a fixed pitch, play the song kind deal, but I ended up adding the sound for the mushrooms pretty late and it was easier for them to just be random. I was focused on some game-breaking bugs at the time. Definitely would have loved to have it that way, though.
