Hey there, thanks a ton for the advice and encouragement. I took a bit of a break after releasing my first version on Steam, but I'm back in building mode.  I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the game in Godot (switching from MonoGame), and remaking the graphics in 3D. I would like to make the game more open to others, but the original test version I've released is not in any kind of state to be enjoyable to work with by anyone. I am hoping using Godot will help me build something a bit more tinker friendly.
I planned on keeping the game single player, but the idea of adding multiplayer has grown on me.
Some other users suggested I make a development Discord for the game, so I did that

Haven't used it yet but it may prove useful someday, who knows.

That discord invite did not work.  said it was invalid.  you can still email me if you'd like.  Please consider a legacy version for current subspace players.  The one thing about us is, we don't really want much to change.

Improve the interface and proper networking and all the settings (bots, zones, arenas, etc.) to be included inside the game, p2p lobby/zone creation, and we're golden.  Change it to 3D and add a bunch of stuff, and we won't leave the current continuum most likely.

Ah, that's my bad, I had it set to 7 day expiration

I'm planning on staying as true to Continuum as possible as far as gameplay experience. The 3D graphics are mostly going to be aesthetic, it will still be the same top-down gameplay, feel the same, but being in 3D will open up a lot of possibilities to enhance the experience. Think visible damage to the ships, small customizations (weapons appearing different on the ship based on upgrade level), stuff like that. Continuum already simulates 3D ships through the roll of the ship when banking, why not just make them 3D so I don't have to simulate that.
Having P2P is probably going to be the first iteration of multiplayer, hopefully having dedicated servers down the road.
