I've been playing indie horror games since slender came out and Liftwell (at least at this state) is poorly made.

I know dev put their minds and effort, but it just doesn't click for me.

For the improvements, I would add subtitles, try not to layer the words of the characters, add main menu and settings option and mainly fix the reaccuring notes/comments of the character on them.

Not a great material for a indie horror game vid, but still here is my walkthrough.

Thank you for taking the time to play Liftwell and for writing such an honest comment, and also for recording a walkthrough even though the game didn’t really click for you. This is my first project made in Unreal Engine, so there are still a lot of rough edges, and feedback like yours is very valuable for me!

The points you mentioned – adding subtitles, avoiding overlapping voice lines, including a main menu and settings, and fixing the recurring note comments – are all very helpful and I agree they’re important issues to address. I’ll be working on improving this build and using what I learn here to make better games in the future.
