I just recently bought this game and get a consistent crash when allowing the chief to grope you at the beginning of the game. I believe this is because it is trying to trigger a steam achievement but the game is obviously not being run on steam. Is there a fix for this?

Hi Phaerie, thank you for highlighting this and I apologize for the issue. You may have to skip that quest first as I will attempt to recompile the game without the steam achievements. This may take a week or so.
Alternatively, let me know if you'd like to swap to the steam version, I will mail you the retail key.
