Monster Codex: The Vampire
Vampires are masters of deception. These undead parasites will often pretend to be human in order to feed on the blood of their hosts. They will typically try to enter positions of power, however any form of human gathering will do.
Your average vampire will die in the sunlight. However older and stronger vampires gain an immunity to solar rays. The best way to deal with vampires is with a stake through the heart, although this should only be used if you are certain you are dealing with a vampire. Garlic is typically unappealing to vampires, but is unreliable at keeping them away and is not recommended to be used as a deterrent.
