That's... a good question. I'll check with the programmer, and if rejecting Lilian doesn't unlock the scene, I think we'll fix it. The game is too big to play through again just for a couple of scenes.
Regarding "playing with a recording/ in public" - there is a "Censorship" toggle in the settings. It will replace all scenes with the text "scene disabled due to censorship settings." This will add the scene to Pensive but won't play it during the game.
