that sucks, its possible that cloudflare thinks you are a bot. I made some changes on the server side so give it a try when you can

Apologies for the late reply; just tried again, still getting the same error.

Also, my friend got the new build, they were getting the same error, but they were also every now and then getting an "ERROR: 0:" without them doing anything.

On top of this, the other friend who was able to load the sync is still able to do so, so it seems somewhat inconsistent.

Ok, I updated the game again to add better error reporting so I can pinpoint this issue. tomorrow ill keep monitoring this. Thank you for the help!

Gotcha, I'll go ahead and test and edit this comment with what I find!

Error message I got was:  "ERROR: Add: HTTP 403"

Error message(s) my friend got were: "ERROR: Fetch: Connection lost", "ERROR: Add: Connection lost" and "ERROR: Add: HTTP 403"

The Fetch: Connection lost error was on spawn and on occasion, my friend said. Oddly enough I'm not getting this error.

I made several changes on the server side, turns out godot doesnt support ipv6, hopefully it should work now

Apologies for another late reply; just now got the chance to boot up again, but I'm still not syncing and still getting the same error when making an object. Sorry this is causing so much trouble, at this point I think maybe Cloudflare blacklisted me for how much I built. (Doesn't explain my friend though, who is also still having the same issue as before)

This might be beyond my control, because im pretty sure your requests arent even getting to cloudflare.

Alright, some very odd inconsistencies happening:

  • The link works just fine for me, no issues here
  • It does NOT work for my friend, and for them it's because Spectrum labels it as a malicious link

My friend said however, that having the link be https instead of http does work for them. Is it possible that the game is requesting the http instead of the https?
However I do accept this may just be an issue out of your control, I'm sorry for wasting your time with it

Dont worry this isn't a waste of time, Im doing this to get better at networking.

I pushed a new build of the game that forces https, if that doesn't work however, we are out of options, you are probably getting blocked on an ISP level.

Friend and I just tested. For friend it's just "ERROR: Can't connect", and for me it's "ERROR: Fetch: SSL error" and "ERROR: Add: SSL error", so yeah. guess it's just on our ends.
Friend is gonna try submitting the link to Spectrum for an unblock request to see if that helps on their part. Hopefully the force HTTPS didn't break it for anyone else

Thanks for willing to try and help though, game is still great despite the issues that came up out of nowhere
