I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS

Let me just start by saying I always love seeing what this dev team will create next, and I am never disappointed. This is no exception. That being said, my reaction and pure rage displayed in this video may seem to indicate otherwise, but I assure you, I enjoyed my experience.

Once the fire was doused in my soul upon completion of the game, I took a few minutes to reflect on what I had gone through, and came to a conclusion.

It's very rare that an indie horror game puts me through so much stress and desperation, thus adding to the terrifying experience, but this game has done exactly that. For that reason, this game holds a special place in my heart because it is one of the only truly difficult indie horror games I've ever experienced, and by the end of it, I felt like an absolute champion brainiac for figuring out the twisted and demented levels presented to me.

Once again, I assure you that I enjoyed this experience, even though I said I was annoyed and frustrated. I have a tendency to lose my temper fairly quickly, so I hope my words in this video don't come across as offensive, that was not my intention.

Scythe Dev Team does it again with another amazing game!

Thanks so much Adrionic! We're not surprised to see rage and frustration as a response to Carthanc. (In fact, I can personally attest to pleading with the team to make one of the trials easier, then 10 minutes later after beating said trial, I changed my mind. This is the music guy.) It is definitely interesting to see different trials providing different difficulties to players! Some breeze through the boulder trial, while others get wrecked on it for a half hour.

Cheers,
Scythe Dev Team

I applaud you all for sticking to your guns and leaving the game as difficult as it is. Too many games are super easy to breeze through, and having a game like this brings me back to my younger days playing games that are actually hard. Having that sense of true relief and accomplishment upon success is irreplaceable!
