This is most certainly a game of all time. Schitzokino, even.

I really dig the artstyle, it is very unique and rather pleasant, even the monsters. However the mechanics are... very alien, I guess. Took me an extremely long amount of time to even figure out what's going on in the game, or if there is a way to attack.

I have no idea if I was hit, or how often I was hit, or how much HP I have left, or if I dealt any damage to the enemy. I did see cards float out of the enemies - I assume those are status effects, but at first I kinda thought they were items lol.

I feel like making a game more "readable" to the player should be top priority, cuz I had no idea what's going on.

Also - 80% of your game size are uncompressed WAV files that blow out my headphones. I think you're enginedevving, but I also implemented MP3 decoding myself once and it's not that hard (it's very well documented, at least the most common file structure. I think some DAWs export an MP3 with slight variations to the format structure, but again - this is your game, your MP3 decoder doesn't have to be generic and support every single possible spec alteration under the sun) (also - there are many open source implementations)

In any case - while I'd like to like this game unironically - right now it's more of a piece of postmodern art than a game. Needs a lot more time in the oven IMO.

But I do like the spritework.
