A lot of people are reporting things like this, but it's always a different cause and sometimes it's not even reproducible.
Well then I guess this mod is unplayable for me. Unless some update in future will fix it.
Looks like I found a solution. I was using Steam version of the game when I had that error. This time I tried this mod on GOG version and saving works without problem.
