The use of the limit is interesting, and it could have been a good game if there had been parallel gameplay (platformer or puzzle, for example).
The game needs more refinement on the main elements, your heart, the dialogue can have a gradual writing effect, you also have to be careful that the text doesn't go outside the dialogue bubble.
The environment doesn't seem very lively; a little more animation is needed to try to hold the player's attention.
The level is too long, or at least there isn't enough to keep us occupied during the journey; the only challenge is dodging the button on the left at the end with the merchant.
Know that you can still be happy with what you've done because it's your first game jam and you already have the game loop.
