Hey fellow jammers! I’m here to write you a review for this game, but before I submit I like to first write out my thoughts here.

Please keep in mind that im aware that this project was made in under 48 hours even though some points might not make it seem that way, I still like to give feedback as if it were an actual game of any development standard.

Ill start off with the positives:

  • A complete game: You actually managed to design and publish a complete and playable game that has a semi clear start and end, that is very impressive for a 48 hour game jam.
  • Tutorials included: You actually managed to also include a working tutorial inside the game that gets triggered as the game is going.
  • Use of jam assets: Most (if not all) assets that i seen in the game, i recognise from the assets i looked through from the game jam. You stayed very on task with that as requested by the game jam.

Now on to some points that may need some work:

  • Show, dont tell: There is a lot of text in the game that the player needs to read to understand the game. This can feel a little slow for some players, me included. It would have felt a bit better if the game explained the story throughout the gameplay in either less text, or more subtle hits even like events in the game.
  • Enjoyment factor / replayability: I personally did not completely like the objective of the game, though i do have to admit that i did not try it for super long and i may have missed some hidden mechanics.

I hope you had fun during the jam, and the best of luck to you with the rest of the voters!

Hello! First off, I’d like to say that our team is an amateur team comprised of non-native English speakers.

And thank you so much! This was our first game jam, and we didn’t expect to receive such detailed feedback.

As you mentioned, we recognized that there was too much text. We certainly forgot that too much text can make people stop reading when they’re playing a game… :(

We also wish we had been more specific about the fun factor of our game.

Again, thank you so much for the detailed feedback!
