Hello Zanotoris,

I downloaded and installed your Soul Trouble game via the itch.io desktop application.

When I try to launch the game, a white screen flashes briefly and then closes immediately, and the game does not start.

Steps I have tried to resolve this issue:

Running as administrator.

Trying with antivirus (Defender) disabled.

Installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (2015-2022).

Adding a Data Execution Prevention (DEP) exception.

Completely deleting the game file, downloading it again, and performing a clean install.

Hello!

I'm sorry you ran into an issue like that. While I do not know the details, whether it happens in other renpy games or this one specifically, I can recommend some solutions you can try:

1 - Install/Update DirectX and your GPU drivers.

2 - Make sure your windows is up to date

3 - If your game is installed within files inside each other (e.g file1/file2/file3/file4), try moving it to desktop and try again.

4 - Renpy creates a log when you launch it, it is located within the game folder. If the issue persists, please do send it to me via Discord.
