Wait, does Patreon also offer payments with bank accounts? If so, that would be actually safer for you, since Payment Processors for Credit Cards were targeted by those harassing lobby groups, which wanted to take down adult content again!
So, anyone with a different processor than those far too powerful credit card corporations, is actually safer for you to post your Gayme/s on, I would reckon!

I love your stuff and hope these idiots in charge don't push adult content back into illegality because then, it would still exist, but in even less transparent and easily traceable online presences, if you get my drift.
But, since people seem to love to vote idiots in charge these days once again (it's a historical pattern after all), who knows, right? It's a gamble either way, but finding a platform, that offers your content to not be linked to payment processors, that threaten to not forward your income from your work, would be a smart move then.

And if Subscribestar offers only Credit Card Payments, your choice might not be as safe as you deem it, unless Subscribestar doesn't forward information about what kind of content its platform members create to the Credit Card Corporations, then you might be fairly safe, until someone "puts a (legal!) gun" (metaphor!) to Subscribestar's legal team and tries to coerce them to do that, of course.

Whatever the reason, I think finding a platform, that allows for international bank accounts to pay for the content, would be smartest, if that even exists (can't think of one right away myself, but know a few payment processors certainly offer that option, too - but not sure if they're limited to the continents of their legal registration/s or not. That stuff is intentionally made very confusing, methinks.).

Still, until something bad happens and Payment Processors or these annoying lobbyist groups who pressured them int he first place (from Australia they were, if I remember correctly?), it's not much safer than here on itch.io, I'd reckon.
And I'd certainly think, platforms also try to protect their creators as good as possible since fictional adult fantasy is usually a way to experience things most people know are dangerous and/or self-destructive trying in reality, but that doesn't diminish the immersion into the Fantasy. Of course, some people are dumb enough to not make that distinction and then might end up in the ER or worse sadly, but that's sadly an educational problem at best and just people "winning" "Darwin Awards" at worst.

So, yeah, humans are weird and exploring this weirdness in a safe, virtual Fantasy-Environment is wayyyyyy better than trying that in reality (I've seen News-Articles about people having tried and it didn't end well for them, to say the least.).

But the very definition of an "adult"/"(emotionally and otherwise) matured" human being, is that they have the cognitive capacity to actually make that important distinction, i.m.h.o. - and maybe the best way to "proof" it, would then be: have them fill out a survey about this important distinction and corporations would be legally off the hook basically. Those dumb enough to just "find the right answers" to gain access and then still act dumb, aren't their problem then anymore, I guess. I know, it sounds cold, but that's how this legal and corporate part of our world works. It's logical and subject to "good enough" implementations that show an effort to protect people from themselves. But, ultimately, a person, who is bent on trying, no matter the cost to themselves, will be crazy enough to circumvent any such "protective measures". And that important fact about human behavior also needs to be taken into account.

"People gonna dumb" ... in all the ways possible for them (some of which we might not even be able to imagine ourselves yet!) So, eventually finding a reasonable measure for trying to protect people from themselves should be legally good enough for anyone involved in such campaigns - because protecting kids is indeed important, but doing that non-intrusive to mature human beings, is a challenge, I can imagine. Might even be normal to have your eID checked at some point in the future, after all. Just hope it's not gonna be a fascist one, where this kind of "tracing" opportunity is abused to try and shame people publicly or something. Maybe it'll also force Morals to finally become less prude though, who knows? - The denial of consensual sex-positivity for religious reasons has been a bane on humanity for a few centuries at the least, after all...and it feels like we have to change this, if we want our species to survive and not annihilate itself by creating a World, that doesn't incorporate our entire humanity, but only allows for parts of it.
Ironically, those screaming loudest about limiting that, not surprisingly are also the greatest secret deviants and just get off on making it harder for everyone to get their rocks off, I hypothesize (we could call it a Sociopath's "Systemic Violence" kink maybe? 😏 ).
