Good morning, many thanks for your efforts on creating a wonderful crop for the game. I am a small content creator for FS25 and have tried introducing Alfalfa along with Lavender on the Courtright Line map (love the big expanse) I too, am using ThunfrFS's Defult Types mod - removing all Rice crops and poplar. I have gone through your video half a dozen times now and meticulously followed each step but am just stumbling on the creation of the Alfalfa bales. It picks up Dry Alfalfa hay, but doesn't produce any bales (round or square) and just swallows the bale twine/net. There is one or two other small issues I have with the crop but I won't go into it here now. Just looking for a little guidance on where to concentrate my efforts on (which XMLs) to rectify the bales issue. Many, many thanks again and keep up the great work!
Apologies - itch doesn’t always notify me of comments like this so I missed this for awhile. Bale creation with a new fillType is an additional installation process I did not cover. That’s why, for simplicity you can set this up to drop Grass_windrow instead of alfalfa windrow.
In your map you’d need to start with the BaleTypes xml and follow the trail to any i3ds and XMLs of specific bale types and sizes to introduce alfalfa_windrow or dryalfalfa_windrow as well as defining bale textures, etc.
if you can find the baleTypes.xml, use that and follow the paths down stream. It should start to make sense. Also - log errors are likely happening when you try to bale without proper setup, log errors also help you fix!
