Yeah unfortunately I don't think there's much I can do with the overlap on hit boxes because of how the plugin I'm using seems to work.
Enigma of Amigara Fault's one of Junji Ito's more well known works, mostly because of the one panel being used as a meme. I'd recommend giving it a read sometime!
