Hey, I just wanted to say I appreciate this game a lot! I like how you tackled the theme of mortality (or lack of) from a community perspective and not just an individual struggle. Seeing how each island handled it in their own way was very refreshing!

Also, as a Bloodborne fan, I couldn't help but notice some nods to the game. I don't want to give examples so I won't spoil anything. But I wanted to know if you took any inspiration from it.

Anyway, I respect what you did here and I wanted to thank you for making this game. I'm curious to see what you'll come up with next. Cheers!

Awesome, I'm glad you liked what I made. :D I think you make a good point about the themes that I hadn't consciously considered before.

To answer your question, I wasn't thinking about Bloodborne when making it, but FromSoft's games course through my veins so it tends to bleed through everything I do anyways (pun intended). I'm not surprised at all to hear that.

When I was making this I was primarily thinking of Angel's Egg, Mushishi, and the Minecraft soundtrack. But even still the story is kind of similar to Dark Souls 3, and some people said it gives OneShot vibes. (I never played OneShot, all similarities there are entirely coincidental.)

Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed this little game & derived something of value from it, it's really the best feeling ever to know that something I made has been enjoyed by somebody. Thank you a million for playing my game & sending this post! Cheers~

That's really cool. I love Mushishi's soundtrack. I think our tastes aligned a lot on this hahahaah!
