Game Jam. I was making game for the Kenney Jam last year and you had to use his assets. He had this 1-bit set that had monsters, dice, cards, weapons and I thought, "I can can figure how to put this together."

The game is quite a bit different after almost a year of development and I've added quite a few original art pieces, but the gist is the same.
