I am pretty sure you know who I am from the zone. It seems that I cannot even buy this game right now 🙁. I can only download it for free, which was NOT my intention for being here. Making these games is VERY expensive. I know you think you are still at the armature stage, but I have seen games that are SO much worse, that are considered professional. I do know there is a problem with your phone sequences. I cannot see much of one half of the conversation. I am not a fan of phones in games anyway, but they do have their place. I could go on and on, and create a wall of text that no one wants to read. Mostly about how good the story is and why I like it so much. This is kind of another reason that discord would be a good idea (although it can also be a huge waste of time 😂). It would also be good to have a Patreon link here on Itch. Unfortunately the way things are lately, adding that might put you into "review". Itch is now forced to review nearly every change to the main page as far as I know 🙄.
Top of my list for code adjustments in v0.3 is to remove the phone, and just use plain screens and show statements to pop text bubbles onto the screen to reveal text communication. I should have done this from the start, but a combination of laziness and need for speed as development on episode 1 hit month 8 led to me using someone else's code to fast-track.
Not a great tradeoff in hindsight, but it is what it is.
