Great game really feels like a genuine king's field type PSX game. I appreciate the effort that went into this.

idk why but my mouse look to the sky and cannot do anything

So the night is darkening, this, and dread delusion all take place in the semi-same world. But angel war is god war, and did Endlyss become the Endless region with the royalists and cadavers? Trying to figure out the canon.

I really liked this project!! It reminded me of the old kings field games, I hope you will complete it and add more. I'd love to do a full playthrough once finished.
 😊👍

really fun game wish there was more like it

was gonna post a video of this but i don't want to re record the video with fake reactions since it closes without warning and corrupted my audio and video

I played your game in my 3 Games series on Odysee the link is:

https://odysee.com/@Kaiju_Raptor:a/3G_Ep_13:7

Your game starts at 03:55 and I critique it at the end at 42.08

I enjoyed your game and do see promise in it, I want more, the story is intriguing as when I read the first few blurbs I wanted to know more about the monsters and the character's background, the combat however leaves something to be desired but with a bit of polish it could work, my only negative was the character turns too slow and attacks too slow, just speed that up a tad so it doesn't feel like the character is carrying around a ton weight and possibly add a mouse sensitivity slider so players can tailor the speed of turning to their liking, but overall a good concept and I look forward to this game's full story and ending in the future. If I may give a recommendation, add some longer optional perhaps even collectable lore drops in the form of pages, paper scraps, or things the character can jot down in a journal like observations and/or memories, as a bonus for players that are interested in the setting, the story, and character(s), but... can be skipped for players who are more interested in the action and progression.

My play of Penitent Dead. Really enjoy your style, found this haunting and intriguing. I have no idea if you're supposed to fight that dude in the castle in the end but I wasted zero time dicing him.

I love how much this manages to evoke tone and world-building with such a minimalist approach. Good stuff!

We had a good time exploring around and reading the lore in this eerie atmosphere, glad we checked it out :)

hi, big thx for the game. greetings from rosti 🙏😘

this game is killer, i love everything about it

A dark and interesting game, in terms of graphics and tone, the plot is very clear and I want to continue. I hope you will bring this project to the end, and make the full version, or something similar.
My walkthrough in Russian:

I needed to change permission for executable "PenitentDeadV1.4-Linux.x86_64" no user neither admin can run after unzip.
throughever, I like the game and the gameplay...only...too short¡¡¡.
Thanks and good job¡¡¡

its fun. Keep up this project. I am curious to know what about inner forest. :D Congrats, dude(or lady):

Really really cool game!

I have the same issue as Barking at the Stranger (can't run the game on Mac). Didn't want to simply reply to his comment as I want the issue fixed. Can't run this game probably due to some unforeseen issues with Big Sur. Not only do I want to play it badly, but once I can I would love to support the developer--please do what you can!!  This game looks so damn cool...

i couldn't play it, it wouldn't  launch, it just tells me i can't, by the way, i'm in the mac version, i don't know if it's just my computer, can someone else tell how it went for you?

(of course, in the mac version)

Pretty cool style, actually looks like a PSX game. Enjoyed the chill and sombre atmosphere and gameplay. Thanks!

This game is fun to play, I really enjoy pixelated horror

I didn't understand what to do with some of the stuff I found! gotta give it another try.

Really cool aesthetics and interesting world, I really enjoyed it!

The game has a Lovecraftian feel to it and that makes it interesting. It has a big potential. The retro vibes are great. The game should be a prologue to a much bigger gamer.

3.25/5

LovelyHellplace´s Penitent Dead makes up for its short duration and underwelming gameplay with a sense of world building and scale that could contribute something valuble to the PSX Horror genre if expanded upon.
