The pedometer used to work in real time. In v1.1, I changed that and now it only saves every 10 steps. It is designed that way so that you can close the game at any time without saving.

I am playing the v1.1, not browser- the whole reason I noticed is because the ssd its on might be failing and the read/writes are very finicky, tbh.

Is that an older SSD? Newer drives distribute the write load across multiple cells. I disabled real-time saving from version 1.0. But without the write operations, the steps wouldn't be saved and I'd have to offer manual saving. That way, you can quit the game at any time. At most, I could further extend the interval between saves. I'll make a note of that for future patches. Thx for the feedback.
