That was even darker than I expected. What a beautiful-looking game you made in a week. The retro aesthetic, her sprite portrait, and how she appeared in the CGs were gorgeous. This jam might have had one of the strongest sound designs for me. The footsteps, the long pauses, they really make the experience a lot stronger as a whole. It is a short VN with a story that I think is quite impressive for a game jam.

As for the story itself, I feel like I do understand what was going on, but I was not as emotionally connected as I could have been. It is very hard to build that up in 10 to 15 minutes, though. What I did get from the story left a sinking feeling in my chest, which is more than likely what you intended.

Thank you for playing!!
I’m glad you think the sound design sticks out, as I made each one with the idea that since there isn’t really any branching paths present in ANGELFACE to really immerse a reader, having good sound design would be a good way to do that without having to write anything extra to the narrative.

If there was one thing I think I could’ve done better, it was maybe humanizing ‘her’ a little more.  In the end though, I think I still managed to do quite alright with the time I had.
