Your game truely lived up to the promise of beeing frustrating... I know it was by design, but having to start over and over again isn't something that brings me joy. (not a big fan of the old Sierra-style ;-) ) But I can't deny it fitted the theme. ^^
I managed to get to the end of the game (luckily there was a bug that made it possible to skip the random fishing), but most of the time it was just pure guesswork with no clues whatsoever. I know, wanting to show off your knowledge of other adventure games can be a strong urge, but it usually doesn't add anything to the enjoyment of a game. Make a game your own, not a nod to others.
You put a lot of puzzles and scenes in there. Kudos for that! I just think less but with more polish (signposting) would have been more.
A bit of music or soundeffects would have been nice. Adding voiceover was a nice idea. I whished you would have used some premade (licensed or free to use) graphics for the backgrounds - it was sometimes hard to make out what one was supposed to see.
