> Speaking of jokes, even the humorous moments are great, and one of Abra's comments in particular has definitely aged like fine wine lmao.

i wonder which one of abra's comments has aged like fine wine! ha ha. what did they say!

> I did manage to get them down to about 4 minutes average with techniques I figured out over time.

4 minutes, that's crazy!! did you do any of the rank chance puzzles? your rank must have soared if you could get those kinds of fast times consistently!

> Oh, and each character has their own playstyle, apparently!

that's right! i think it's most noticable with the tug of war game. some characters like magnezone are very slow and calculating, while others like smeargle just zip around as fast as they can, even if their moves are sometimes a little silly!

> Rhydon is pretty much the one I'm 100% sure that I got the hang of, and oh boy, do I relate to how he perceives the idea of sex :D

rhydon's tricky! but you can tell when you're doing it right, because they roar really loud... ha ha! at least they let you know they are enjoying themselves

>  I've played this game through a second time when I figured out there's more than one outcome, and I'm really happy I did, because my second outcome was so so much better for everyone involved!

wow, that's amazing! i feel like the ending is a little complex and i don't know which ending i like better. but -- i think one of them has a little bit of a better message to it.

> I'd like to say thanks for making this beautiful game! I think it will remain close to my heart for quite some time! :]

thanks so much, i'm glad the game touched you in such a person way as to inspire such a thoughtful comment! when i made this game, i'd never played a game like this and the idea was so big i just didn't even think it was possible to make. but i wanted to try to make it, and find out what made it impossible. but it turns out -- making a game like this isn't impossible at all! it just takes a very very long time. but hearing from fans like you reassures me that it was time well spent :D

i'll keep making games! i don't know if any of my other games will be as special as monster mind, but it's fun to make games. i think monster mind was a unique kind of game because it felt like i was being united with some old friends! maybe it felt that way to you too.

That comment of Abra is pretty far into the game, but it's the topic where they mention one of the companies that belongs to a man who became quite infamous at around 2022. At the time of writing, I had their project in mind which was involved in the Ukraine-Russian conflict, because it felt really ironic with the game's topic at hand, but not long ago I realized that I might've misremembered that whole situation -- the CEO shutting down their whole service to Ukraine by themselves is what I remembered, but as it turns out that was quite a stretch. Even still, something like that could still probably happen considering that CEO is not exactly a decent person, but I guess it's only time that can tell that for sure.

I think I had my highest record in my second playthrough, which was 48! Since then though, my latest rank got down to a 43, as I can't always bring my best haha! Finding out you could mark the pegs as correct/incorrect has helped a ton, and I had gotten used to a technique where I use those marks to take note of how many of each colors are surely and surely not in the final answer while ignoring the position. That way you can even check for errors easily as you compare the amount of correct bugs in the clue with the amounts of dots and hearts next to it. It's only the correct positions you need to find out after that, really.

With getting two of the outcomes, and giving them a little thought, I feel like I scammed the character involved in my first, since they really barely know anything about the player, as well as it turns out it's nothing an alternative can't fix -- and thinking it was right before their special day might be the worst part about it. Even with me wanting the best for them in both scenarios, helping them with an alternative has left me with the most happiness -- even if i did start doubting myself in the middle of that one-

Can't lie though, I'm both amazed at, and might be a tiny little bit jelly of the level of your persistence haha, but it's really nothing some time and practice can't fix! Extremely long work does sound quite scary, especially with not being able to be consistent like myself with such projects, but it has to be some real great feeling when that same hard work does pay off in the end -- and don't be shy about embracing that! :D Your other game works I've yet to look into properly, but it's definitely in my plans! In the meantime, I'm hoping I could get some wholesome content in the making of these goobers anytime soon -- be it wholesome wholesome, or oddly wholesome ones haha!

wow, 48! that's crazy, congrats!!

yeah, i don't think i have a crazy work ethic but i just try to get a little done every day! that works best for me. there's been a crazy amount of monster mind fanart over the years -- i have a little collection of it and i'm always delighted when i see something new! there are so many talented artists out there
