> thankfully the "final boss puzzles" were forgiving for me. (still took me three tries lol)
Thank you, that's really nice to hear. I hear some people saying, "I couldn't beat the game because the final boss was too hard". But, Abra tries really hard to help you succeed even if you aren't super quick. I'm glad you could beat the game. 😀
> What a fun, charming, game I'm glad to have experienced. Wonderful work!
That's so cool!! I'm really glad you had a fun time with it. I think the hardest part about making puzzle games -- is making the game fun even if people have trouble with the puzzles. I'm glad you had so much fun even if you had to slow down and take your time. I am slow too!! I just like doing the puzzles my own way 🙂

Imagine taking a cookbook through airport security. A security agent might find phrases like "Heat to 450°" and "Poke holes in the skin to stop it from exploding" and take your cookbook away.
Antivirus software is like an airport security agent. A false positive is when they take away your cookbook thinking it is a bomb.
I'm not sure! The game unfortunately does need to have some kind of end condition. It's possible climax blocks aren't the right answer, you're right it's sometimes frustrating when it feels like they show up too soon. A sandbox mode would be interesting, I agree it might be fun to just build a combo forever and set it off whenever you feel like. But it might also feel anticlimactic when you set off your huge 1,000-block combo and the game just asks you to continue playing.
Hey thanks for trying out my game! It runs a little slow in HTML5 but it does run -- so it's a nice option for people who don't want to keep anything on their hard drive.
I'm glad you're enjoying the puzzles, I think they're a lot of fun! It's unusual for computer generated puzzles to be so consistently rewarding and interesting to solve, even after what must be thousands of them it still feels like I'm sometimes surprised, confused or have a stroke of insight when playing Monster Mind. It's a really special kind of puzzle!
Yeah, that all makes sense! I like the idea of "game without objectives" but it does feel nice when the game rewards you in some way for finishing
I also agree that it would be nice if the banter were more noticable in some way. I like the idea of passive background dialogue, but maybe it would need to be voiced to match what i imagine it feeling like while you play
Thanks for your kind feedback! I'll keep working on making fun games. I loved monster mind too 😀
wow that's funny! it's a sheer coincidence but stay tuned. i may have something for you in a year or two~
I am a huge fan of nikoli puzzles (and Grovyle is as well!) I own about five of their books and love their dedication not just to inventing new puzzles, but to making their puzzles clever and fun. There is such a thing as a "good sudoku" and a "bad sudoku!" not everyone understands this
