My thoughts of the game as I played:

Some indication of what the controls are at the beginning of the game would have been good. That said, it wasn't hard to figure out.

So, this is a shoot 'em up in which your shots get better and better as you get more and more candy. Cool.

I have played other games like this in other jams where the devs overestimated their players' skills. You definitely avoided that pitfall here, though around the time I had 1000 points it was too easy. I almost quit, thinking there wasn't anything more to the game, but then I saw the boss. In other words, the main gameplay is too long, but still fun.

The boss wasn't too hard to take down, either.

If you made the levels shorter you could ramp up the difficulty as the levels progress and have a really fun SHMUP.

I really liked this game. Good job, Wrath!

thanks for playing it. If it were any shorter I'd get dq'd from the jam.

This made me laugh so damn hard. I absolutely loved this and it's the kind of stress-relief we need right now. I thought everything was on-point in this game. The controls were smooth and even when there were a TON of enemies on screen, the game didn't lag at all. I did find that holding down space let me fire continuously; not sure if that was intentional, but it made the game even EASIER and took it from a 12 to about 10000 on the chaos scale once the enemies started coming in waves. Very well done.

This was so stinkin cute and fun. Reminds me of playin old flash games back in the day. Doesn't overstay its welcome and the ending fight is adorable. I got up to 2907, and probably would have been higher if I had realized a little sooner I could hold space bar to keep firing continuously. xD

nice, there is a perfect hi-scare if you get all the candy early and don't get hit. thanks for playing 🍪
