Hello hello, yes, it’s a bit late to a good reply, but better late than never. Clippy was developed in Python and uses Microsoft Speech API 4.0 as its voice module. My account was suspended two months ago, and I noticed it quite late — but it was entirely because of Itch.io’s bot prevention system. It doesn’t work like an AI, but rather through a complex probability-based system. I hope I was able to explain it clearly.

So it’s still not the original Clippy then

yep

So then it’s totally pointless

According to whom? It depends on the person. I just made it from scratch in a more modern way and new features. And it’s extremely obvious that this is a remake.

Not unless you go looking into the comments! Besides, anyone looking for a way to get Clippy in 2025 would clearly be looking for something at least comparable to his original form, which is very much not how this appears to function, and yours uses AI anyway, so anyone with a moral compass wouldn’t want to use it.

Did you know that the original clippy would be problematic to run on newer systems? Besides, it’s no less than the original clippy, in fact, it’s more.

“…and yours uses AI anyway”

Wtf, doesn’t use any AI in that project (when did I say that?). In short, my project retains the original clippy architecture, and the reviews are generally positive.
