Great observation, and the torch in the way is intended. Both sound and screenshake are coming from only when the monster walks, that too when it lands its feet, I will definitely go back and see what I can do for the sound, as it's already was supposed to be spatial 3d.
I ran outta time so some obvious feedback like log count and such are missing but the next build will have it. "Speak to see" mechanic will be polished more to have better vision.
