I agree a status page would be nice.
Is It Down Right Now has a field showing when the last reported outage is. I thought it was common sense— but likely not— that if a site was down within the past day, it’s a big risk trying to upload anything important to it. I forget to check, too. But it is reassuring to know that itch.io is looking stable before committing a bunch of processing time to it.
For me, a page that’s not associated with Facebook (Is It Down Right Now is, for commenting) would be most helpful.
