This is a really lovely start! Your art is very cute, and the story is charming.
It was a little hard to understand the mechanics of the game, and how to interact with it. I think it could have benefited from more intuitive controls and ways of pointing the player around to where they should go and what they should click in the game, rather than only in the start screen!
