Hey, Nice game!
I wanna note, as I'm playing, I've noticed a glitch, and I want to point it out just so you're aware :D
I've noticed it seems to happen right after collecting a piece of candy. I don't know exactly what causes it, but to describe what happened: I collect a piece of candy, then move to the side and then move back to where the candy was, very quickly, like, I tapped the d key to move forward (away from the candy after collecting it) but then realized I was getting too close to getting hurt so I immediately tap the a key to not run into the enemy, and it collects the candy again, even though the candy isn't there anymore, or at least isn't visible. It also happened when I'd get hit right after collecting a piece of candy, but I'm assuming that's because I got knocked back into the candy, resulting in the same movement that I mentioned before. Or the glitch might not be caused by that. :P
Also, I expected R to restart the level and it took me too long to realize that Esc was how to activate the pause menu. That's my bad, but I do recommend adding the esc keybind to the description along with the other keybinds.
I'll continue playing and keep a lookout for more glitches if I find any!
After finishing the game, I refreshed the page and the intro cutscene played again, so wanting to skip it, I mashed all the buttons on my keyboard until it skipped it. I'm glad you added the function to skip the cutscene, but the final glitch I found was that when skipping the cutscene, the cutscene music continues playing until the song is over.
Great game!
Thanks for playing!
I think I might know whats causing the candy bug, however I'm going to have to wait till the game jam review period is finished. Will add the "ESC" keybind to the description. Music issues seem to be a web thing only because the windows export seems to be working (at least when Mario and I were testing). I have no idea why the last level skips out on the next button, but ill get it fixed when the review period is over.
