"Director" vs. "Chief"

You might notice that in the dialogue, most characters refer to the agency head as "Director" (e.g., Director Rowsson). This is the formal, standard title reflecting his position and the professional hierarchy.

However, Brian uniquely calls him "Chief." This is an intentional character choice—not a translation inconsistency.

  • "Director" is used by the protagonist and Bill to maintain a tone of respect and professionalism.
  • "Chief" is Brian's personal, more casual term. It adds a layer of character depth, suggesting his informal nature, possible background in fields like law enforcement, or a closer, more relaxed relationship with the Director.

This subtle distinction helps differentiate characters and relationships through dialogue alone.
