I just tried to launch it with no controller plugged, and the result is the same: I can press Enter or E in the menu, but then it isn't recognized anymore.
Thanks for the feedback, we've had a few reports of the AMD version not working properly.
I'll take the time to work on it, we'll post an update when the issue is fixed.
