Cool game, unique concept horror + rhythm game, but I have some serious qualms with these controls and a bug that lets you get at least an 80% (just wanting to point this out btw I'm not trying to dig at you I just thought I had some unique insight to give).

I'm also going to preface this by saying that I'm a musician and I also play music games; you really should have the controls correspond to where they are relative to each other on screen to where they are on the keyboard, this is only not the case on brass & woodwind instruments even on strings it is sequential, otherwise it's very unintuitive and breaks rhythm game design convention. On a real piano keyboard the keys are all sequential you don't go back to a lower key to play a higher note, I honestly think the game would be more intuitive if it used the whole row of keys (from 'a' to ';') instead of repeating the same to reach higher pitches or having separate keys to do combination inputs, that way you can intuitively do combos and play different pitches without separate controls and repeating.

Aside from better feedback to the player, I want to mention that you can cheese the entire game and get 80% by just pressing all the keys at once, and I only did this to check the story (sry), there's some weird hit detection going on, but I know from experience making a rhythm is quite challenging and still this game is functional which is impressive for a week!

Thanks for your comment! I’m also a musician, and while we initially considered having a different key for each note, we were a little concerned with feasibility, especially with the additional harmonization mechanic. It’s definitely something we’ll look at re-working in the future!
