I'll have a candidate workaround in the next version. The error message you're getting says that something else has your save files open; I don't know what's causing that, but if you've been running two copies of the game at once or have another program editing or reading saves while you're playing that might do it. (For example, automatic backup software would need to open them to make the copies)
