This is a very interesting and fleshed out idea :D.

It would require a long timer to avoid healing items spawn, but never the less, would be very curious to implement.

I can also see this associated with the Egg Bee, and could also serve as an anal item, many opportunities come from this :P.

They'll pretty much just stay in the ball and use it as their hive.

But it's Eroism's choice on what happens to the bees. I'm just someone with too much time on their hands.
