I haven't developed for Android either, but since there is a web version already, can't it just be wrapped into a Cordova? Or are there some limitations introduced with that that I'm unaware of?
Last time I tried to make a cordova build I had a hard time getting anything locally compiled actually installing on my own phone, so I stopped trying to set that up.
