A shop sounds like a cool idea! Perhaps one of the things you could buy can be the ability to slow down the soul using the back/cancel button(X on computers) like in base Undertale and Deltarune?(This could make attacks like the first attack of Phase 3 a bit easier since you can avoid accidentally bumping into the attack)

If I add the shop, I would add items like, for example, a shield that protects you from the first touch of a one-hit attack or another item that lets you slow time or something.
