Cute art style. I assume this will follow the slow drip model and each subsequent release will be released/updated here, with the Patreon version staying ahead?
The writing right now is very swift and abridged, not leaving much time to ruminate about anything. This I assume is intentional with it being a demo, but I'd recommend slowing it down a bit in the follow up scenes.
Art College is one of those settings that you'd THINK would be overdone, but it's actually underused, if anything. I assume at some point you'll cover the classic "Player/a character the player likes has to pose nude for figure drawing."
Choice wise, it seems the only deviation right now is whether the player appreciates Vanessa's art or not. I take it this will factor in later?
My guess is that Vanessa is a fox. If so, her tail not being visible on her sprite could be considered an error. I originally thought you might be taking artist license with them having no tails, but Penny's ass grab scene showed that not to be the case.
Given your portfolio, I assume more characters will join the cast, and this is going to be more the 'harem' style of VNs and not solely focused on Penny and Vanessa?
Another guess: Each character will represent some medium of art. So one will be learning Animation, another Clay sculpting, ect.
Thinking about that, I feel like a mouse girl fits the 'animation' curriculum well, and probably much more shy and harder to approach than Penny.
My personal recommendation on slowing down the writing would be to have at least one full day with both Penny and Vanessa. That gives plenty of time to get to know them and for funny situations/reactions to happen. It'll get harder if/when more characters are added, but I'm going to take a while guess and assume there will be a HUB area by then.
Also, I do hope the VN doesn't solely take place on campus, as a trip to a forested park, or even a full-on camping trip definitely makes sense for art college, plus it's a great opportunity to see a different side to the characters!
Anyway. Good showing so far, and I'll be watching for updates, assuming you're going with the slow drip model.
