No need to start over completely. 

That being said, initially we had plans for some kind of perma-death kind of mechanism if you failed the final battle of the game ':D 

How it currently works, is that you need to try again, and defeat the final boss to get to the "good ending".

I am relieved. The permadeath mode should definitely be added as an ironman mode perhaps with less costly upgrades because the narrative is always focused on how meaningful the main character is to the struggle between the human world and the demonic realm.

It is a great game and really well balanced. I wouldn’t mind selecting to play that way (like in X-Com).

Thank you so much for the response. With the narrative it feels like it might be a one chance thing. LOLs That would be really hard to play. Although, these high-stakes are exactly what made X-Com ironman so much fun assuming you had the time to invest.

Thanks for putting in so much work and making a great game that suits my taste. I would definitely buy DLC for this. I wish there were more modes of play, perhaps with a time limit on getting to the beacon.
