Ohh this is an incredibly sweet one. Straightforward, with a clear and strong premise, and charming characters that absolutely bring it home. The writing is tender while still being frank, and you did an incredibly impressive job letting us get to know these characters with just a few short lines of dialogue (juniper even got me to tear up just a little). The cozy, warm-cassette vibe of the soundtrack and the aged, grainy texture of your linework blends it all together beautifully too . . . this is a beautiful game, especially for a solo entry. My only critiques of note would be that would be nice to see the other characters again in the final conversations, and perhaps it would make sense to remove a certain one of them as a choice if you choose the potion of rest. But even so, all options were compelling enough for me to replay and test them all - they were wonderfully bittersweet.
I'll absolutely be holding close to my heart, even after this year's Spooktober is through.
