I can feel your pain buddy. I had faced something similar in previous WTF game jam when everything was going with my computer got crashed and the entire game completion was done by my teammate who was just a designer and he woke up whole night finishing the game by just following tutorials . "There's always a jam that does not gives us Award but gives us a really good lesson". Making portal mechanics is a big achievement even i don't know how to make it. It's some advance stuff.
