you go upstairs after the (opposite gender here, male for me) says he\she needs the gun, and you find a kitchen with exactly 4 cabnets, and a bone on a cutting board

A. take the bone
B. check the cabnets
This is weird ... why would he need a gun? But, anyway, I would go looking for supplies and weapons in order to try to escape and maybe give him one.
So I would take the bone and if I could have a look at the cabinets it would also be great.
