this is fantastic!!! i love the way the figure looks, such a dynamic pose  for such a little guy!!

Developer

Thank u for the kind comment!!! Had a pen and paper sketch on the side of a stick figure that I thought would be “ninja-like” lol and kept adding and taking away pixels until it looked like “right” haha!

Congrats on your first pixel art jam!
Your scene looks nice! I really like the vignette effect you added in the corners, it really draws attention to the middle of the screen 👌

If you want to turn this into a game, maybe you will need to make the character a bit thicker. Right now it reads well but I'm not sure it would still read as well in movement. Either way, I wish you luck if you decide to make the scene interactive!

Thanks!! I felt that the character design was too small as well but struggled to add any extra details without him looking like a black blob lol

But i really wanna explore sprite work more and will be looking at ways to make him more pronounced once i decide to work on the game. Thanks for the kind comment!

I like the minimalism and the structure of the image, and how the bottom of the building are getting lost in white 👍

Thank u so much! I wasting trying to keep things simple since i was worried to much details would distract from the "gameplay" lol especially with the 1-bit pallete.

Less is more :) the details you put it make an impression. It is tough in 1bit to keep visual legibility that works in gameplay context, without using outlines. And when you do use outlines, it feels to me like you can't get as small as you'd like with details.
