Windows Defender is flagging it before unzipping, and I can't complete the download. If you know a fix, that would be great, but as long as it gets fixed by Microsoft in a few days like you say, it's not a big issue.

That warning is a false positive from Microsoft Defender, not an actual virus. It sometimes happens with Unity games. Chrome and Edge may block the file automatically until Microsoft updates their definitions.

Here’s how to fix it safely:

Option 1 (recommended):

Use a different browser such as Firefox to download the ZIP. Firefox does not block based on Defender’s heuristic flag.

Option 2:

If you want to stay in Chrome or Edge, temporarily disable SmartScreen just for this download:

  1. Open Windows Security → App & browser control.
  2. Under Reputation-based protection settings, turn off Check apps and files.
  3. Download the file again.
  4. Turn the protection back on afterward.

The file itself is clean and verified on multi-engine scanners (e.g. VirusTotal). Once Microsoft updates Defender, the block will disappear automatically.
