L is kind of a terrible person, huh?
Pretty sure L told that person that there weren't going to be feelings involved. When that whole situation ended, the other party wasn't satisfied, and seemingly couldn't just move on. They got fired as a result. I think L was foolish for engaging in anything like that in the first place with an employee, but if the terms were set it was the other person's fault for ignoring the warning signs.
