It's good though I have some critques. For one, I think that it's important that you implement a way for the player to exit out of the note, I ended up having to reload several times because I had no idea what word I needed to type or the I inadvertantly broke the game's sequencing I think. Additionally, the game is extremely dark even when you have a lightsource, making it extremely hard to see what you are doing and or get lost. Overall however, I think the idea of a game where you have to write down what item you need in order to get it very interesting, though I think it should be more like what you did with the ladder where the player has to explore in order to find the next word they need to write. If you do fix some of the games bugs I would love to give another crack at it!

I love this! Thank you for your honest feedback! There is a way to get out of the notepad by pressing ESC, I should have added a little hint to ensure players knew that, I would love to re-create this for a full 30+ minute game after the Jam with a story line to it which I originally had planned, and I understand everything you said! My fiancé mentioned during development it was a tad too dark and to adjust the brightness of the lanterns or something else, Which I did but when it came to building the client I shrinked the lights and textures down massively to make sure it was small enough to fit in the zip folder and to be uploaded onto itch (it probably would have worked without the lights being shrunk to be honest), but when I come back to this in a couple of week I'll use your comment and others as a building ground to ensure the full release is much better than the Game Jams version!
