I appreciate your feedback, I had to shrink the lighting and textures to allow for space so I could be uploaded to itch which in turn made the game extremely darker than it should originally be - the being stuck on a wall is a new issue which i believe has stemmed from the recent change to a soft lock, which in turn, has caused another soft lock🤦🏻♂️, I’ll try and get it sorted out before the Jam ends so anyone whose willing to, can give it another go and try to enjoy the game for how it should be played! - I will be recreating the project from scratch and creating a longer more polished version with an actual story after the Jam finishes! Regardless, I appreciate your feedback and will make sure the full version doesn’t have bug / issue!

I do plan on working on this game (from fresh) once the game has finished and having around a 30+ minute long game, with a fully fledged storyso hopefully this won’t be the last time you play!
I do think I know the issue of being trapped and stuck now I think about it, I had an issue of people (further in the game) dropping down from the ladder after ascending it and soft locking themselves and as by the rules of the game jam I was able to make a small implement by adding a collider to stop people from being able to do so BUT what I think has happened is that the collider somehow gets triggered before the actual ladder event occurs leading people to become soft locked like yourself, I’ll have to look into it if I get time before the Jam finishes and add a final small update so you’re able to get the full experience; but even if you don’t I really do appreciate you taking your time by giving it multiple chances, and for proving your feedback! It’ll truly help me when it comes to the full development to make sure I test and trial every avenue of the game before publishing it🤍
5* on everything. I really did enjoy that, The concept, the visuals, the creativity its all there! Although... I do try to make games that scare people, I didn't expect to get scared myself! I played through all the endings and they're great! its short and punchy and there would be no need to expand on it. Honestly this isn't just a game jam game, its a full release and you should honestly feel proud of that! Well done!!
I like the concept of being able to explore in space although I feel like the controls, to me anyways we're a bit finicky and I could quite come to grips with them, I also feel like there should be a little light on front of the spaceship so you're able to see the asteroids, More than enough times I've crashed into them as I couldn't see them 😅, I like that you've created everything yourself though using shapes from the Unity editor, that was a real solid touch and the upgrade tree was very nice!
I was looking forward to playing this but it seems like I've encountered an issue like the others and couldn't obtain the key even with clearing the save and clicking "menu" from the pause menu seemed to not load the UI buttons on the main menu again, Also the sensitivity was a tad bit fast and I'm usually used to fast pace FPS 😅 (I won't rate it due to not actually playing it as it'll be unfair but would look forward to try again once the key issue has been sorted)
This was cool to play! it reminded me a bit of my childhood, not in the sense that I went around a office block taking out people but the layout reminded me of Pokemon where you enter the giant market! I encountered an issue/soft lock with the keypad after entering the correct code, I didn't notice there should have been an incorrect code sound once you've entered well.. the incorrect code and thought it would just reset up exiting the code pad UI but I reset the game and finished it! I like the pixel art style which seems to be in a come back for games nowadays and the cleverness of having to explore to find the items in a certain order before being able to process like on the coffee part, game played nice and smooth too, Good job!
Oooo, This is the first clicker game I've played on the Jam,The writing and hand crafted art style was a pleasant change and they fit the gameplay style perfectly but there were parts where I was a bit confused and thinking "has the game bugged out?" where you find certain things and you'd think the game should progress but its not such as the Teddy bear part, once you find the teddy bear there should be some sort of box at perhaps the top left which shows the outline of the teddy bear, then the heart and other items that are required for that particular part of the level, Just gives the player a bit of a heads up like saying "hey! you need to find X, Y & Z to move on" as there also isn't a highlighted cursor to show the player what is and what isn't clickable, although I also guess that's apart of the game design itself so its not too easy, So I understand that if that was a design choice!
Overall It was satisfying when you do progress to the next stage! Very well made and even though I didn't finish it as I got stuck I enjoyed what I did play!
thank you! I appreciate your feedback; I will most definitely be working on a full 30+ minute release after the jam as it seems like a lot of people would like to see a full release! I will also try to add a bit more of a hint mechanism so it’s not too difficult to get into and to figure out the next word! Expect a longer version in the near future!🙌
Thank you for the engaging feedback! I really do appreciate it as this is a project I'd love to take on after the jam and expand to a fully fledged story but a lot more polished, after the feed back from yourself and others I have come to notice that I probably should have made more use of the lights and the hints when people manifest the correct items and I'll be sure to take everything else you've mentioned into account and use it to further progress the game, - Yeah, the webGL has been a bit of a pain even for myself it took more than minute to load, I'll have to look into it and figure out the issue, but I'll defiantly check out your game after work today! thank you for playing and giving your honest feedback and for mentioning the uniqueness of this project, its truly appreciated!
I love this! Thank you for your honest feedback! There is a way to get out of the notepad by pressing ESC, I should have added a little hint to ensure players knew that, I would love to re-create this for a full 30+ minute game after the Jam with a story line to it which I originally had planned, and I understand everything you said! My fiancé mentioned during development it was a tad too dark and to adjust the brightness of the lanterns or something else, Which I did but when it came to building the client I shrinked the lights and textures down massively to make sure it was small enough to fit in the zip folder and to be uploaded onto itch (it probably would have worked without the lights being shrunk to be honest), but when I come back to this in a couple of week I'll use your comment and others as a building ground to ensure the full release is much better than the Game Jams version!
thank you for taking the time to play and rate it as well!
UPDATE: Followed the guild lines in the FAQ which allows for game fixes which prevented gameplay.
Just added a downloadable windows client as some people had issues playing it in the web client and fixed a hard lock which prevented the player from continuing if they dropped down from the ladder after ascending.
