Considering you lose if you check the husband and he's right there, its sort of a useless option. If, instead, checking him resulted in a bit of dialogue where you delay him a bit, giving an actual sense of "juggling" the two parties, that could be interesting. Otherwise, it really is just a game of vacuuming until you've got an idea of when he'll come around, then playing around that, or taking a long time of guessing since only two options progress things without causing you to lose, while the third is a total coinflip with little reward, and mainly just . . . risk. Not sure if there should be punishment for trying to be smart by checking. But the art is amazing, and the writing is great too! Perhaps there could even be some bonus to going at it without checking/vacuuming, like increased gain, while if you vacuum too long/too often, she loses more mood progressively/risk going down a tier? Might cause more problems than actually making the gameplay loop interesting, but just tossing out ideas. Love it all the same, and looking forward to what's to come!
