It’s starting to get serious!

I needed a way to make the game more visually interesting and quickly discarded anything that was too retro.

I started by placing a simple 2D static light on the bonfire scene.

I like the effect but it’s too static… maybe it would have been better to create a bit of flickering”.

I add the effect and an avalanche started in my mind:

Ok, that’s nice… Mmmm but it’s a flame, it would need a sound.. and definitely also an animation! So I can create sprite and animation for that! Wait a sec.. What about sprite dimension? And tile? What is the scale of the scene I want to create?

I started with a test of a light and found myself thinking about classes, structures, sprites, proportions and so on..
